Horizon Line is the central and one of the first artworks from Oksana Stratiychuk’s series Universal Landscape. Executed in the technique of etching and illuminated with watercolor. The horizon line is an imaginary line where the sky meets the earth, the sky meets the sea. In reality, the horizon doesn’t exist; it only recedes by the same distance as you step towards it. But the first thing an artist does when drawing or even imagining a landscape is to draw the horizon line, separating the sky from the land, dividing the space into these two elements.
